Yes! The Government of Canada recently launched a loan through the Canada Greener Homes Program of up to $40,000, interest-free. For more information, check out their website.
The initial costs of the evaluations are paid by the homeowner. Once both energy evaluations and the upgrades are completed, the homeowner submits all receipts to the Canada Greener Homes Grant. The homeowner will be reimbursed $600 towards the cost of the evaluations as long a minimum of one eligible retrofit is completed.
The length of time an energy evaluation takes is dependent on the size and style of your home but it will range between 90-120 minutes. Contact Energy Werx MB for a more accurate estimate of how long your evaluation will take.
